  For a long time in the 1990ies few international attentions was paid to Afghanistan, a country that was suffering from the post Cold War aftershock, an ongoing civil war and the strengthening of extremists forces in the region.
Mediothek Afghanistan is committed to the support of a peaceful and prosperous Afghanistan. To strengthen the academic endeavors on Afghanistan it organized a series of conferences, seminars and workshops focusing on Afghanistan and possible ways to end the conflict and build a sustainable future.
Apart from the academic exchange and discussions, mediothek has built a network of knowledgeable international and Afghan experts.
