Training workshop for the parliament candidates
The candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections are being trained by National Democratic Institute NDI. This four days training is running from 18-21 of July 2010. This training workshop is discussing the following topics:
-    Introduction to the electoral commissions and plans,
-    Code of conducts for political parties and candidates,
-    Electoral complaints,
-    Conditions for electoral campaigns and preventing the government intervention,
-    Time limit for the electoral campaigns,
-    Candidates property registration, revealing of income sources and reporting criteria,
-    Electoral frauds and the punishments,
-    The presence of the nominees representatives in the voting centers and stations, receiving permission letters,
-    Voting and counting process,
-    Specific task of the parliament (Wolosi Jirga) and their role in the legislation process,
According to the trainers Monisa Sahar and Dr. Miralam, this seminar is planned for four days. 86 candidates will participate to learn the aforementioned contents.

Additionally, Hayatullah Rasikh and Mir Faizuddin Saboor describe that this program supported by USAID is covering 34 provinces throughout the country. All 2340 candidates will be participating this serious of training. NDI regional office in the northeast has hired 6 trainers to cover this region. NDI is also planning to train the 32000 observers in the whole country.

The head of the IEC also visited from the training duration and answered to some questions of the candidates.    

Kunduz Mediothek is collaborating to provide place and refreshments for this program.
